Angela Stirk MSc MCSP | Consultant Physiotherapist specialising in motion and movement problems, qualified as a physiotherapist from Pinderfields College, Wakefield in 1986. She began her experience working in the NHS developing an interest in musculo-skeletal conditions and sports injuries. She also gained experience in occupational physiotherapy working for the Fire Service in a purpose build rehabilitation centre for fire fighters. A long career in sports physiotherapy has afforded experience at National and International level working at home and abroad with a variety of athletes from many sports, including disabled athletes and the British Handball Association. Angela gained her MSc in Sports Injury Physiotherapy in 2005 from Sheffield Hallam University.

This includes former Governing Body Physiotherapist to the British Paralympic Association, sitting on the British Olympic Association Physiotherapy Committee. Other experience includes three Commonwealth Games, the first Youth Commonwealth Games, Edinburgh 2000, The Commonwealth Games, Manchester 2002 and as a venue Medical Team Leader, Glasgow 2014.

Angela specialises in the treatment of neck, cervico-genic headaches, back, joint and muscle problems. Identifying motion and movement dysfunction (the patterns of movement that cause pain and discomfort in the body) to treat the symptoms and cause of these problems. Skills in mobilisation, manipulation, exercise, rehabilitation following surgery and acupuncture are all available. Angela established her private practice in 2004 and also provides physiotherapy in a GP surgery alongside doctors, nurses and medical staff.
